threads of lineage

Through embroidery, portraiture, and autobiographical practice, I research memory, family, and the transmission of gestures across generations—rooted in the labor and craft of women.

Threads become lines of connection—stitches as marks of care, the hand as a site where knowledge is stitched across generations.

    ME/Mãe

    Self, mother, daughter.

A body in motion, in transformation.

This page brings together self-portraits made across different moments—before, during, and after motherhood. Here, the act of looking inward becomes a form of remembrance, resistance, and becoming.

Through painting, photography, and mixed media, I explore the thresholds between identity and care, body and image, solitude and relation. These works are quiet reflections on presence—of the self, and of the lives held within it.
