Body as Gesture

I work with performance, installation, and expanded painting to explore the body as both a tool and a surface of inscription.

Through gesture, movement, and mark-making, I research how presence, vulnerability, and memory can be traced across materials and space.

The Body: Between Life and Painting

Developed as my final project for the Fine Arts Degree at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, this series explores the intersection of body, movement, and painting. Through gesture and material, I investigated how the body imprints itself in space—both as a presence and as a trace.

This project marked the beginning of my exploration of performance and process-based painting, where movement becomes form and the act of creation is inscribed within the work itself. These ideas continue to shape my practice today.

    MADRE NATURA

Madre Natura was conceived in Bologna during my Erasmus at the Accademia di Belle Arti.

A dialogue between body and landscape, it unfolds through movement and fabric, where the dress sculpts and reshapes the figure, mirroring nature’s rhythms. A cocoon, a metamorphosis—an echo of life’s perpetual cycle.
